What Did You Read In 2021? Here’s My List

Image
For the last 3 years, I’ve challenged myself to read 1 book per month. This year I surpassed my goal by a handful of titles - reading a total of 15 books (avg 1.25 books per month). I know a lot of people who read for pleasure. My wife, for instance, reads constantly. But her book shelf looks very different from mine. My wife reads a variety of fiction (fantasy, young adult) and nonfiction (biographies, history). Usually thick, physical books stacked on her nightstand. On the other side of the bed, my Kindle app is stocked to the brim with business, marketing, and finance titles. During the holidays, I usually allow myself 1 fiction book. What can I say? I’m boring. Anyways… here are my 2021 reads: How To Write Copy That Sells by Ray Edwards Business Made Simple by Donald Miller Building a Story Brand by Donald Miller Hollywood by Charles Bukowski Traffic Secrets by Russell Brunson The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason $100M Offers by Alex Hormozi Digital Minimalism by Cal New

My Chatbot Gets 50 Leads A Month For Free | Why I Love "Charlie" My Collect.Chat Bot

Image
I've been using this little known tool called Collect Chat to get leads for myself and my clients for years. You might think it's just a normal chatbot, but "Charlie" (that's what I like to call him) is way different... This chatbot is basically a fancy lead form disguised as live chat! Now most savvy users will recognize that they are not chatting with a live person. But still, you would be surprised at how often people click this chatbot and engage with it. I can program Charlie to ask a specific set of questions. During his conversation, he'll capture a name, email address, phone number, or anything else you want from your leads. Then when the conversation is over, you get an email notification with all the lead information (or integrate with your CRM). This works for all kinds of businesses. Like seriously... it only kinda works for everybody! I love using it for my local clients' websites. Imagine how much a local carpet cleaner or maid will love you

How A Recording School Dropout Became A Successful Google Ads Consultant By "Copying" Infamous Marketing Guru

Image
Dear friend, Believe it or not, I've been running ads on Google since 2006.  It all started when I dropped out of recording studio school & got a job working for this dude named Perry for $9/hr... Perry asked me to set up some microphones in his new recording studio (which was really just an empty space in the back of a strip mall) . Apparently he hadn't heard I was dropping out of recording school, because he hired me anyways. Anyways, he asked me to set up these microphones so he could record some information products. I had no idea what an "info product" was at the time, but what happened next surprised the hell out of me... Perry started recording these info products - which were really just mp3 files - and I started editing them. It turns out Perry was some sort of genius marketing guru… and he was recording all of his best secrets for making money on the internet. But not like the normal “get rich quick” garbage you saw on late night TV back in those days (r
